Your skis and snowboards have been waiting patiently in the garage; it's time to bring them out and strap them to yourself! Many of you are planning a ski resort vacation this winter. Holidu, the booking portal for holiday homes, has studied the country's most buzzed-about ski resorts based on average monthly global search volume.
You may not recognize some of the top names here. We’d expect to see Vail, Steamboat Springs, Jackson Hole, and Park City, but instead, people are discussing lesser-known resorts.
The top one is Copper Mountain, Colorado, which receives 97,700 searches each month. Located not far from Denver, the resort features 23 lifts across 2,507 acres. Powder is reliable here, and the apres-ski vibe is active, with dining and shopping at the base village.
The second most in-demand ski resort is Crystal Mountain, Washington, with 91,200 searches each month. Near Mount Rainier, this resort has 11 lifts across 2,600 acres. Catch spectacular views of the mountain from the gondola or the cozy lodges here.
In third place is Palisades Tahoe, California with 85,100 searches a month. The one-time home of the Olympics, this large resort has 34 lifts across 6,000 acres of beautiful terrain overlooking Lake Tahoe. The base village is charming and there’s even an Olympic museum.
