From April to June, five Kimpton hotels across the U.S. will host pop-ups where guests can get complimentary tiny tattoos designed just to commemorate your visit to that city.
The tiny tat options will be unique to each destination. Think crawfish and fleur des lis in New Orleans or taxis and a big apple in NYC. Each pop-up features a curated Kimpton x Tiny Zaps collection that taps into the vibe of the host city, blending travel and self-expression into one unforgettable souvenir.
The tattoo artists are locals, handpicked by Tiny Zaps for their creativity and clean, crisp style. Tattoos are free (yes, free), but slots are limited and only available to guests 18 and older—so show up early and plan ahead.
The idea may sound trendy, but tattourism has roots that go way back, like sailors marking every port of call. Today’s version is sleeker, subtler and gaining major traction with Gen-Z and Millennial travelers who want something more permanent than a postcard.
