Boston passengers are not the only ones who get to enjoy a juicy cheeseburger on board any more—Delta and Shake Shack have taken their sky-high partnership a step further. Shake Shack burgers began taking off from four more cities on March 4, and passengers are hungry for more.
If you're departing from Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia or Seattle on a flight over 900 miles, you can dig into Shake Shack’s legendary cheeseburger at cruising altitude. The catch? It's still only available to First Class passengers. Lowly coach class passengers will have to settle for smells or hope for an upgrade.
First introduced out of Boston in late 2024, the onboard Shake Shack Cheeseburger was a hit from day one. The burger features a juicy 100% Angus beef patty and melty cheese on a toasted potato bun. Passengers can add lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce for the full ShackBurger experience. Round out the meal with chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie.
"Customers are raving about the Shake Shack experience onboard our flights after serving more than 10,000 burgers out of Boston since launching in December," said Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service. "This is part of our work to partner with brands our customers already know and love while continuing to raise the bar for the in-flight experience."
Delta also recently launched a partnership with Uber Eats, allowing SkyMiles members to earn points every time they order. To celebrate, Delta, Shake Shack and UberEats are rolling out a BOGO ShackBurger deal. SkyMiles Members who joined the Delta x Uber waitlist by March 6 will get a free ShackBurger with their next order on Uber Eats. The offer is valid through March 14—plenty of time to split (or not) with a friend.
If you're flying First Class on an eligible route, pre-select your Shake Shack meal via the Fly Delta app up to 24 hours before departure. More expansions are on the horizon, so stay tuned to see where Shake Shack lands next.
