The same questions about turkey come up every Thanksgiving: Do you follow the wet or dry brine recipe? Throw it in the oven or deep fry it? Even more controversial, do you just go rogue and skip the turkey all together?
Just in time for the year’s largest communal meal, Popeyes is bringing back its Cajun Style Turkey. The pre-cooked bird starts at $39.99, and you’ll need to call or visit a restaurant to order ahead of time.
This fan favorite, which debuted more than 20 years ago, is usually a 13-16 pound turkey hand-rubbed and infused with “zesty Louisiana-style seasons,” according to the company. It just needs to go in the oven for about two hours and of course, if you don’t want to spend more time in the kitchen, Popeyes has plenty of popular side dishes, from mashed potatoes to cinnamon apple pie (those are usually the best parts of the meal, to be honest).
But if cooking isn’t in your plans this year, apparently resort bubbles will allow you to celebrate Thanksgiving with family like in past years.
