It was only a matter of time until Outside Lands went the way of Coachella and Pitchfork and was canceled this year, but festival organizers were able to add a small bit of excitement to the news by also announcing the dates and lineup for next year's festival.
Back in April (when the festival was still planning to happen this year as scheduled), the 2020 lineup was accidentally leaked online and fans were ecstatic to see headliners Lizzo, The Strokes, and Tame Impala with additional acts like Tyler, The Creator, Vampire Weekend and The 1975 on the docket. Luckily, it appears that the 2021 lineup will remain largely the same.

"In what has been a disappointing year for concertgoers and the music industry alike, Outside Lands is looking to the future. We all miss the much-needed community and positivity that comes with our annual celebration in San Francisco and we look forward to bringing the music back in 2021," the festival wrote on Instagram.
Outside Lands 2021 will take place on August 6-8, 2021. For those Eager Beavers who purchased 2020 passes, they will be honored at next year's festival. Rollover ticket holders will also be treated to exclusive contesting for upgrades, giveaways and more throughout the coming year. If you are unable to attend the new date, you have until July 24 to request a full refund.
Tickets for next year's festival go on sale tomorrow—Thursday, June 25—at 10am PST.
"We can’t wait to be back in Golden Gate Park with you, enjoying the best in music, food, beer, wine, art, cannabis and more for what we know will be our best year yet" organizers added.
