The best-selling video game ever is about to break out of the pixelated world and into reality. Merlin Entertainments (the masterminds behind LEGOLAND, Sea Life, and Madame Tussauds) is teaming up with Mojang Studios, the creators of Minecraft, to bring the block-building phenomenon to life.

That’s right, Microsoft’s beloved game is getting the real-world treatment, and it’s shaping up to be a groundbreaking adventure.

In a joint press release this week, the duo teased Minecraft-themed attractions packed with digital wizardry, immersive experiences and even ways to unlock exclusive in-game content so your epic gaming escapades won’t have to end when you leave the park.

The first two attractions—complete with themed rides, lodging, retail and food—are set to debut in the U.S. and U.K. between 2026 and 2027. Merlin is dropping over $110 million to make sure they’re nothing short of legendary.

Merlin’s CEO, Scott O’Neil, hinted that these are just the first blocks in a global expansion blueprint. The Minecraft attractions could appear in more theme parks and city centers in prime tourist hotspots.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this past May, Minecraft boasts the world’s largest gaming community. So whether you’re a Redstone engineer or a dirt house builder, it’s time to gear up for a whole new adventure.
