Time Out recently launched its Inside Voices talent search, in which up-and-coming artists send us their best stuff over social media through the hashtag #TOinsidevoices. (Here's how you can get in on the action.) And we're happy to announce that we have our second winner! (Get to know our first winner, singer-songwriter Russell Johnson.) The new winner, Nishant Jain, is a Chicago-based cartoonist behind the book SneakyArt, which nabbed a medal at the Midwest Publishing Awards.
"My work is made in all kinds of public places: bars, cafes, parks, public transit," says the self-taught artist. "When I see something of interest, I try to capture it without attracting attention. The art is sneaky because I don't want to disturb the lives of my subjects," he adds. "The goal of my work is to show moments of beauty in ordinary life."
