Just days before A Minecraft Movie hits theaters, McDonald's is giving fans a chance to celebrate with a themed meal that bridges the virtual and fast-food worlds. Launching April 1, the collaboration includes two limited-edition meal options: a Minecraft movie meal for the big kids and a Happy Meal designed for younger fans.

So what's in the box? You can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, paired with medium fries, a drink and one of six exclusive collectibles. If you opt for the nuggets get to try the new Nether Flame Sauce—a spicy-sweet blend of crushed red pepper, cayenne, garlic and a hint of sweetness.

The highlight is sure to be the collectibles. Each meal comes with a custom-designed item inspired by McDonald's icons and Minecraft treasures. Think Big Mac Crystal blocks mined from the "sea of special sauce" or a Grimace Egg hatched from a purple shake. There’s also a Soda Potion, a Fry Helmet, Birdie Wings and the elusive Zombie Hamburglar who roams all biomes in search of hamburgers.

For the digitally minded, every A Minecraft Movie Meal purchased via the McDonald's app unlocks an in-game McDonald's Add-On pack. This bonus pack includes McDonaldland characters, themed builds and tools for Minecraft. Happy Meals come with a scannable code that opens a mini-game on www.happymeal.com, inviting players to complete a custom quest in the Minecraft Movie world.

With its blend of nostalgia, gaming and fast food, the McDonald’s Minecraft collaboration is a tasty way to gear up for the movie release, so catch it while you can.
