London is calling and British Airways is making it easier than ever to get there by rolling out four new direct routes— no layover! — from cities across the USA, including a brand-new route to the West Coast.

That honor goes to Portland, Oregon, where now five weekly flights bring you to London’s Heathrow airport. These transpire every day except Thursday or Saturday, on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The June 3-5 weekend rollout of this nearly 10-hour flight was celebrated with Jubilee-themed refreshments, and passengers arriving in Portland were given a rose to honor their arrival in the City of Roses. There was also an immersive ‘Portland meet London’ experience for those lucky enough to experience the inaugural flights.

British Airways also revived its lapsed direct flights out of Pittsburgh and San Jose.

There are also several new ways to go from New York City airports to London, including a third daily flight just added out of Newark Liberty International Airport. That flight reflects a return to business travel, reports the airline. It departs from Newark at 7:55am which lets travelers spend one more night in the Big Apple before leaving — and also lets jetsetters arrive in London just in time to hit the clubs. Karaoke anyone? In partnership with American Airlines, there are now 15 daily departures out of New York area airports to London, including 11 from JFK to Heathrow and one from JFK to Gatwick.

In all, there are 26 different US cities from which British Airlines flies direct to London. Whew! Grab your passport.
