Could Kim Kardashian West be poised to enter our compendium of best podcasts out there?
The reality TV star turned mega entrepreneur is expanding on the work she's done alongside the Innocence Project, a nonprofit that seeks to exonerate wrongly convicted people, by striking an exclusive podcasting deal with Spotify.
Although the audio company has confirmed the existence of the deal, it has yet to reveal a launch date or any other details surrounding the program.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the show "will follow the work of television producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi as she investigates the case of Kevin Keith, who was convicted of three murders in 1994" despite consistently denying to be the shooter in the case.
Of course, West's involvement in criminal justice reform has been widely chronicled in the past. Back in 2018, she met with President Donald Trump when successfully appealing for the commutation of sentences of a variety of incarcerated women, including Alice Marie Johnson. Johnson was eventually released from the Federal Correctional Institution where she was serving a 21-year sentence for a non-violent drug offense.
The audio program follows another similar effort by West. This past April, she released a new documentary on Oxygen called Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project. The production shines a light "on stories of people [West] believes have paid their debt to society while also bringing awareness to America's growing problem with mass incarceration."
