Santa Ana winds are fueling multiple wildfires across Southern California, prompting tens of thousands of residents to evacuate. Firefighters are simultaneously battling four major fires in the area. The Palisades Fire has consumed nearly 16,000 acres, while the Eaton Fire has burned more than 10,000 acres. The Hurst Fire has scorched at least 700 acres, and the Sunset Fire, situated in the Hollywood Hills, has spread across 20 acres, according to the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The impact has been devastating, and President Joe Biden has approved a disaster declaration at the request of Gov. Gavin Newsom, who declared a state of emergency Tuesday night.

Organizations throughout the region are offering direct assistance with shelter and supplies, and you can help with their efforts.
