Late last night, President Donald Trump took to the podium in the East Room of the White House to deliver a statement while a number of states have yet to finish counting votes.

"We were getting ready for a big celebration," said Trump, who has already secured 213 electoral votes. "We were winning everything and all of a sudden it was all off. The citizens of this country came out in record numbers, there's never been anything like it." He then went on listing states that have yet to announce official results as guaranteed wins.
As is usually the case following any sort of statement delivered by the President, loads of people took to social media to voice their reactions to his words. You can watch the entire speech right here and, below, find some pretty entertaining tweets in reaction to his remarks.
That Trump speech in summary:

"We want counting to stop in any state in which we are currently ahead, but we would like counting to continue in any state where we are currently behind."
Seriously.
Trump will have to do a speech soon and it will be like a fucking Tarantino scene

I don't understand Trump's speech.

I do understand that the polls were wrong.
Again.
Can media pundits please stop saying Trump is ‘unpredictable’? Everything he does is entirely predictable. I could have written this speech, pretty much word for word.

It's not my place or Donald Trump's place to declare the winner of this election. It's the voters' place.
