We must admit that this doesn't really sound like a job, which makes the promotion all the more wonderful: AT&T is offering to pay a lucky "employee" $1,000 to watch six female-led superhero movies and star in a video review for each one. Sounds easy enough, right?
You can read the entire job description right here but let us give you a rundown. The six movies are Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Dark Phoenix, Catwoman, Elektra and Birds of Prey ("Harley Quinn is still a hero," reads the job's official description. "We will not read any comments that disagree.")
You have until September 8 at 2pm EST to apply and AT&T will select a candidate by September 14 also at 2pm EST. Once announced, the winner will have to watch each film, rank them from best to worst and post a two-to-five minute video review of each production on YouTube. You will have six days to complete the tasks. In addition to the cash, the lucky employee will earn a $50 gift card, popcorn and snacks, a superhero-themed blanket and some cool female superhero swag, including think figurines.
"Superhero movies typically revolve around an average Joe-turned superhuman hero. Case in point: we’ve all heard of the all American, tight-sporting superheroes—Superman and Batman—and their movies." reads the job description. "But what about the ladies? There are plenty of female superheroes in the DC/Marvel universes, but not many get a movie of their own. To show these ladies some love, we want to pay one superhero fan $1,000 to watch 6 female-led superhero movies in support of the cause."
Could you think of a better way to celebrate the (for now) October release of Wonder Woman 1984? That's what we thought. Happy viewing, folks!
