Hello, and grab your credit card. Frontier Airlines is hooking us up. Its Summer of Love promotion costs a mere $59 to fly with a free seat assignment, free carry-on and the option to make free changes, whether you fly economy, premium, or business. It sounds about as free as those hippies in the Summer of Love. Wear your love beads and patchouli for this flight! And at this price point, you might as well purchase now and then finetune plans later since the change fees are nonexistent.

The promotion has some guidelines. You must purchase by June 6, and the $59 cost is based on one-way travel with the economy bundle. You can only book through the website FlyFrontier.com.

If you upgrade to the business bundle, you receive “UpFront Plus” seating (no one in the middle seat!) which ensures you’ll be first off the aircraft and first to receive inflight service. You board first and have guaranteed overhead bin space, plus two free checked bags. This is almost sounding like luxury flying.

In between these two fare categories is the premium bundle, which gives you a free carry-on, seat selection, no change fees and first boarding with guaranteed overhead bin space.

According to Frontier’s website, you must purchase by 11:59pm EST on June 6. The sale fares are valid for nonstop travel on Tuesday and Wednesday, through October 31, 2024; and Monday through Thursday, and Saturday, through Jun. 15, 2024; and Aug. 19, 2024, through October 31, 2024. Except that there are some very complicated exceptions regarding Las Vegas and Florida sites… it’s so specific that we urge you to study the language yourself if those are your intended destinations.

Blackout dates are July 3, September 3, and October 11-14, and tickets must be purchased seven days before the flight. Passengers may want to consider the company’s Discount Den membership.

Two things we like about Frontier? Each plane features an animal painted on its tail, and it’s known as America’s Greenest Airline, saving an average of 43 percent more fuel than other U.S. airlines. We like sustainable transit!
