The Girl Scouts of the United States of America just announced they will include a new flavor to their 2021 cookie roster: the French-toast-inspired Toast-Yay! will be available starting next year.
The treat is shaped like a piece of bread, one side of which is iced, and is actually bigger than the cookies you're used to buying from the organization.
Given the current global state of affairs, the Girls Scouts have had to pivot their usual strategy: folks can now buy cookies online right here and even donate some to communities in need through virtual means. In the upcoming months, expect "virtual cookie booths" to "set up shop" on social media, selling the popular treats online. As for delivery options, contactless sales are certainly part and parcel of the new business plan.
As is always the case, "timing and product availability varies locally so folks can contact their local council (click here to find yours) for more information about sale dates and specific cookie availability," reads an official press release. Just for you to know, the average price for a cookie box nationally ranges from $4 to $7.
We know that Girl Scout cookie season officially kicks off in January, but we oh-so-appreciate the bit of good news a few months ahead of time. Who doesn't need some of that in 2020?
