Here's some fairly odd and incredibly on-brand 2020 news: Disney World has been photoshopping face coverings on mask-less riders for the past few weeks. Given a slew of negative feedback, that practice is no more.

The theme park admitted to having digitally altered photos depicting folks who weren't wearing masks correctly or at all, even withholding ride pictures from the guilty parties.
The results have clearly been odd, as seen in this one photo in particular:

Although the official park guidelines require guests to wear masks at all times except for when eating and swimming, visitors clearly haven't been following rules—enjoying rides sitting next to folks not in their immediate "bubble" while removing their face coverings.
According to the Washington Post, a Disney spokesperson confirmed that the destination "tested adding digital masks to riders' PhotoPass images where masks had shifted mid-ride. The trial aimed to allow those riders to be able to purchase a ride photo that would not depict them as unmasked, and in a violation of park rules."
Given a series of publicized images on social media, the park decided to end the test period.
"In response to guest requests, we tested modifying some ride photos. We are no longer doing this and continue to expect guests to wear face coverings except when actively eating or drinking while stationary," Disney said in a statement provided to USA Today by spokesperson Jacquee Wahler.
