Disney Cruise Lines announced the inaugural sailing of the new Disney Treasure, plus details about the look of the ship and onboard entertainment. The new ship will sail to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, departing from Port Canaveral in Florida, starting December 21, 2024.
The new ship is adventure-themed (it will be adorned with a sculpture of Peter Pan and Captain Hook), and you can expect that and more aboard the seven-day cruise. The decor exudes mystery and adventure, starting with the blue, turquoise and gold Grand Hall, inspired by faraway places, including Agrabah from Aladdin. Even Captain Minnie will wear a special adventure-seeking outfit for the cruise.
Dining and entertainment options will span eras, celebrating both the golden age of Disney and modern classics. From a Mexican fiesta at the Coco-themed theatrical dining experience to an epic, World of Marvel-themed restaurant featuring an appearance from Spidey himself, meals are sure to be memorable. For a more elegant option, 1923—named after the year The Walt Disney Studios was founded—takes you back to Old Hollywood with decor featuring storyboards, sketches and props from adventure-themed Disney movies like Tarzan, The Lion King and Aladdin. Adults will enjoy a bar reminiscent of Beauty and the Beast’s enchanted castle, a pub inspired by 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and an exotic Jungle Cruise-themed lounge.
Live shows include Beauty and the Beast and Disney Seas the Adventure. A thrilling water attraction called Curse of the Golden Egg will take you on an exhilarating ride through a mysterious temple, searching for treasure. With decor inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the Wonderland Cinema will show new and classic Disney films.
Ticketing for inaugural Disney Treasure sailings opens to the general public on September 20, 2023.
