Whether you're ringing in the New Year at a big bash or keeping it low-key with friends, Molson Coors is here to make sure you get home safely when the celebrations end. This year, Coors Light and Miller Lite are once again teaming up to sponsor free public transit rides in seven U.S. cities—and Washington D.C. is back on the list for the first time in years.

Starting the evening of December 31 and running into the early hours of January 1, Coors Light will pick up transit tabs in Dallas, Denver and Phoenix. Miller Lite will handle the free rides in Charlotte, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Washington, D.C. Riders can visit their local public transit website to review routes and arrange transportation before the celebrations begin. Tmes and routes will vary by city.

This initiative is a New Year’s tradition for Molson Coors, marking its 36th consecutive year of providing free transportation for revelers. Since launching the program in 1988, Molson Coors has covered millions of rides, and this year, the company expects to cross the milestone of nine million rides given.

Alison Hanrahan, community affairs manager for Molson Coors, says the program reflects the company’s commitment to promoting responsible drinking.

“This program helps people celebrate responsibly, providing them a way to get home safely,” she says. “We are proud to be able to provide free rides in these markets for our consumers and our employees.”

And it doesn’t stop at New Year’s Eve. Molson Coors also sponsors free rides on other high-traffic drinking holidays like St. Patrick’s Day and partners with major pro sports teams to provide safe transportation options throughout the year.

So this New Year’s Eve, raise a glass (responsibly, of course), knowing that Coors Light and Miller Lite have your ride home covered.
