You’re in luck—next Monday, September 25, is National Quesadilla Day and to celebrate, Chipotle is giving away 20,000 free quesadillas to DoorDash users placing orders of $25 or more. That means it’s time to gather up a posse and watch Monday Night Football or stream the Barbie movie while indulging in fantastic Mexican food you don’t have to make!
The Chipotle quesadilla is fashioned from Monterey Jack cheese, grated fresh each morning in every restaurant in the franchise, your choice of protein, optional fajita vegetables, and three sides for dipping...and of course, a flour tortilla.
To make things more picante, TikTok creator Alexis Frost will give out that promo code on her TikTok channel at 2pm EST on September 25. She’ll also reveal her new favorite quesadilla (but we’ve got the goods: her new fave is the carne asada quesadilla with fajita veggies and her three sides: sour cream, tomatillo-red chili salsa and roasted chili-corn salsa). The carne asada is prepared with marinated steak grilled with spices like cumin, coriander and oregano, with lime squeezed on top, and sprinkled with hand-chopped cilantro. Previously, Frost worked with Chipotle to add a new fajita quesadilla to the restaurant’s digital menu in March 2023: an addition that nearly doubled Chipotle's quesadilla business at launch and gave the company two of its top digital sales days. Whew!
What if you are late to your cart and miss one of the 20,000 free quesadillas? Do not fret! After all the freebies are claimed, Frost’s promo code transforms into something almost as valuable: you can get $5 off a $25 Chipotle order (again, on DoorDash only). That will happen automatically if you have your cart ready with the promo code from TikTok and have ordered the $25 worth of food.
