Watching. Waiting. Commiserating. However you’d like to conduct yourself at Blink-182’s next show, it’s time to book your ticket.

The ‘90s skate punk group returns this summer with its Missionary Impossible tour. Chicago’s punchy goth kids, Alkaline Trio, will join as the opening act. Likely missing in action will be Alkaline Trio’s drummer, Derek Grant, who departed the band in 2023.

Despite entering their 50s, the group hasn’t lost its impish spirit.

“This message will self-destruct…in your pants,” reads the tour announcement on Instagram.

The two bands have shared DNA beyond their pedigrees in the late ‘90s pop-punk scene and penchant for mining adolescent angst. Matt Skiba, the co-founder and lead guitarist for Alkaline Trio, stepped in after Blink guitarist Tom DeLonge left the band in 2015. Skiba recorded two albums with Blink, 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine, before DeLonge returned in 2022.

If you’re looking to scratch that Blink itch, you can read up on the band: frontman Mark Hoppus’ new memoir, Fahrenheit-182, is out in stores now. Written with former VICE music journalist Dan Ozzi, Hoppus goes behind the scenes of Blink-182, detailing the band’s rocky history and Hoppus’ own battle with cancer.

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming concerts.
