Let's be honest: the general public hasn't given much attention to Kanye West's bid for Presidency, which he announced back in July. And yet, around 50,000 people actually voted for the artist to land on what is arguably the most coveted political position in the world during Election Day yesterday.

Alas, the 43-year-old rapper conceded—in a very West-way at that. "WELP," he wrote in a tweet late last night. "KANYE 2024." The tweet has since then been deleted but, just two hours ago, West posted a picture of himself against a United States map backdrop, captioning the photo: "KANYE 2024."
Overall, West's name appeared on pre-printed ballots in 12 states: Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah and Vermont. He ran as an independent.
Here is the exact breakdown of votes that went to the artist, according to preliminary tallies shared by the Associated Press:
Arkansas: 3,979 votes
Colorado: 6,000 votes
Idaho: 2,309 votes
Iowa: 3,179 votes
Kentucky: 6,259 votes
Louisiana: 4,837 votes
Minnesota: 6,796
Mississippi: 3,009 votes
Oklahoma: 5,587 votes
Tennessee: 10,188 votes
Utah: 4,053 votes
Vermont: over 1,200 votes
Needless to say, West did vote for himself yesterday in what was his first ever ballot casting in a U.S. presidential election. Although we have yet to hear the official results of the 2020 Presidential election, one thing is for sure: Kanye West will be back (supposedly) in four years.
