Picture us not surprised at this one: as illustrated by the list he just shared, Barack Obama has impeccable taste in films and TV shows. The former President of the United States just shared his favorite productions from 2020 on Twitter—and we couldn't agree with his selections more.

"Like everyone else, we were stuck inside a lot this year, and with streaming further blurring the lines between theatrical movies and television features, I’ve expanded the list to include visual storytelling that I’ve enjoyed this year, regardless of format," Obama wrote in a tweet accompanying his list.
From Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (on Netflix starting today) to Disney's Soul and Netflix's Crip Camp, the documentary he produced with wife Michelle Obama under their A Higher Ground Production company, the politician seems to be in touch with what a lot of Americans also resonate with in terms of film.
As for TV shows, Obama includes quarantine superhit The Queen's Gambit, plus critical darling I May Destroy You, perennial favorite Better Call Saul and The Last Dance—the Michael Jordan documentary we all binge-watched a few months ago... in which Obama himself makes an appearance.
This isn't Obama's first foray into popular culture. Last year, he also shared some of his favorite TV shows (season 2 of Fleabag, Unbelievable and Watchmen).
If you want to catch up on Obama's selections, we're here to help. Below, we link to our own reviews of each production and tell you where you can stream them right now. Happy viewing, folks!
