McDonald's is spreading holiday cheer—and a little envy—this season with a Grinch Happy Meal that's sadly not making an appearance stateside. The iconic, green Mean One will grace happy meals and meal deals in the U.K., Ireland and Canada this holiday season, but so far there’s no indication that we’ll get in on the fun here.
Grinchmas will be celebrated at McDonald’s through December 31 (or while supplies last). A special kids’ Happy Meal will come in a festive box sporting the Grinch in his Santa hat. The surprise inside includes trading cards and a plush toy of either the Grinch or his loyal dog, Max.
A Grinch-inspired adult meal deal includes a choice of a Big Mac, any McChicken Sandwich or a 10-piece McNuggets. It comes with Dill Pickle McShaker Fries, a medium drink and some quirky extras like Grinch-themed socks or Max the Dog socks, all packaged in a holiday-themed box.

While fans across the pond and up North enjoy their Grinchy goodies, all we can do here in the U.S. is check out their commercials and products online. One consolation prize is that we can pick up a Pet Simulator Happy Meal, which features two Pet Simulator toys—one for your kid and another to gift a friend. Festive, sure, but it’s no Grinch.
We can still hold out hope that the Grinch will make an appearance, however. McDonald’s currently claims there are no plans to bring the Grinch Happy Meal stateside, but past surprises—like the McRib's recent reappearance on U.S. menus after a run in the U.K.—suggest that fans shouldn't lose hope entirely. So keep your fingers crossed and hope for a Grinchmas Miracle.
