Travelers continue to seek out unforgettable moments. Airbnb’s data shows that its most-searched destinations in the U.S. are tied to major 2025 events. Globally trending destinations include both cultural heavyweights and off-the-beaten-path gems—including bustling hubs like Tokyo and Mumbai and more unique destinations like Whitsundays, Australia, and Bad Staffelstein, Germany—while events and vibrant scenes in lesser-known cities drive popular U.S. destinations.
