Time Out says

Anvil Hotel is a modern take on a classic Western lodge that offers a slightly more affordable alternative to the many expensive luxury hotels found in Jackson. (To be fair, however, everything in Jackson is pretty expensive.) The elevated motel also has a wonderful central location, within walking distance of all that Jackson has to offer. If you’re looking for a comfortable, more cost-conscious option in the nature lover’s paradise of Northwest Wyoming, then this is an excellent pick.

Although the hotel’s 51 rooms are spread out across the property, the Anvil’s main lobby effectively provides a central gathering place. The rustic, high-ceilinged room is a combination of a café and mercantile store with a thoughtfully curated selection of books and gifts alongside cards and board games. In the morning, guests are able to stop by to enjoy complimentary coffee from Jackson’s Snake River Roasters as well as fresh pastries. Rounding out the food and beverage options is Glorietta, an Italian trattoria serving handmade pasta, woodfired pizza and cocktails.

The rooms at Anvil provide a contemporary take on the American West. Designed by Brooklyn-based Studio Tack, the cozy lodging boasts custom metal beds, custom Woolrich blankets, raw brass fixtures, rain showers and back products from Co. Bigelow. When it comes time to get out and explore, an on-site director of experiences is on-hand to facilitate a number of curated recreational activities from hiking to bike riding.

Getting out and exploring will most likely be the top priority of most of the guests to Anvil Hotel especially with Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort all in such close proximity. From winter activities like skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing to summertime hikes, mountain biking and rafting trips, you’re surrounded by an embarrassment of riches in all four seasons when it comes to daily activities. At night, guests won’t have to worry about recharging during a stay at this lovely, very convenient lodge.
