These days, you don’t have to trek to your closest stand-up bar to hear some comedy—you can watch mini skits on social media or simply turn on your TV to catch a special from comedians all over the world. What’s harder to find, however, is a consistent and thoughtful curation of really good stand-up shows where every special is sure to have you rolling on the floor laughing. For comedy lovers (and really anyone who likes to laugh), Hulu’s new stand-up vertical, Hularious, is here to provide a regular stream of funny. And this year, the streaming service is rolling out one special every month.

The Hularious ball is already rolling—Jim Gaffigan kicked off the slate with Hulu’s very first comedy special, The Skinny, back in November of 2024. Largely considered one of the most prolific comedians working today, Gaffigan’s special gave “the skinny” on everything from appetite suppressants to raising teenagers in a family-friendly set. In December 2024, Ilana Glazer gave an unfiltered look into life’s down and dirty truths (from blue balls to parenthood) in her Hulu special, Human Magic.

Then, in January 2025, Roy Wood Jr. delivered a special that was equal parts thought-provoking and funny. In Lonely Flowers, the comedian explored how a lack of connection has sent society into a culture full of guns, protests, rude employees, self-checkout lanes and sex parties—and why some of us would rather be alone than be connected. The range of legends and comedic commentary that we’ve only just gotten a taste of with Hularious is enough to have us hooked and falling off the edge of our couches.

With Chris Distefano’s It’s Just Unfortunate comedy special coming out last month, we can only expect to see more of the best original comedy specials from popular club and theater acts. With plenty more to come this year, we’ve rounded up a few of the specials we’ll definitely all be looking out for coming exclusively to Hularious this year.

Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years, March 14

In this special, one of the greatest stand-up comedians working today delivers his most personal and introspective hour yet—offering hilarious (or should we say Hularious) takes on everything from male sadness to unwarranted dating advice.

Jessica Kirson: I’m the Man, April 25

If you’re looking for a fast-paced and sharp-tongued special that covers everything from TikTok girls to a trauma center, Kirson’s special is for you. With her unique blend of observational humor and raw honesty, she leaves no topic untouched, delivering laughs that hit close to home.

Matteo Lane: The Al Dente Special, May 16

Watching Matteo Lane's comedy is like catching up with your old friend at brunch. In his Hularious special, he shares a glimpse into his travels, unique family background and a closer look at his friendships—in a completely hilarious way of course.

More Hularious comedy ahead, June-December

Hulu has announced that comedians Atsuko Okatsuka, Zarna Garg, Ralph Barbosa, Andrew Santino, Frankie Quiñones, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Kumail Nanjiani will be joining their 2025 lineup. Some of the stand-up stars have also featured in Hulu’s funniest TV shows, with Andrew Santino starring in Dave and Frankie Quiñones playing the lead in This Fool. Big Sick actor Nanjiani’s Hulu special will also be the first time he has returned to stand-up comedy in ten years.

An exciting mix of familiar favorites, highly anticipated returns and comedic greats, you can watch a new special every month on Hularious.
