With a voice like hers, Celine Dion could sing the dictionary and we'd all be enraptured. But did you know she could break. it. down? Covering pop songs in her very own Dion way while on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 48-year-old artist proves to us, once again, why she's one of the reigning queens of the music world.
"I want you to keep growing as an artist," says DeGeneres on the episode, which airs today. "So we put some rap songs in the prompter and all you have to do is sing the words."
The result? Dion's masterfully classical versions of Nelly's "Hot in Herre," LMFAO's "Shots," Britney Spears' "Work B***h," and Missy Elliot's "Work It."
This isn't the first time the iconic singer took on other artist's work. Back in July, Dion played a game of musical impressions while on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show and wowed us with her take on Rihanna (singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and giving us some exciting dance moves), Cher ("She's my friend!") and Sia (complete with a very interesting hairdo).
If, like us, you're enthralled with celebrities acting just like, well, us whenever we're in the shower singing our favorite music, you absolutely have to watch Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera respectively playing musical impressions on The Tonight Show. Happy (procrastination) Monday!
