Tales of the Cocktail reveals the nominees for its 10th annual Spirited Awards

Raise your glasses, folks: Tales of the Cocktails, an annual celebration of the best in the bar industry, is almost upon us. Held in New Orleans each year, industry professionals will gather in the Big Easy on July 19-24 for seminars, demos and the Spirited Awards ceremony, which honors the world's best and brightest bartenders, bars, brand ambassadors and bar teams. Yesterday, 10 nominees in 24 categories (including American, international, writing and global categories) were announced; the list will be culled to four finalists in each category on June 20, and winners will be recognized at Tales of the Cocktails on July 23. 

A slew of Spirited Awards nominees were recognized earlier this month at Time Out's own Bar Awards in cities around the globe, like The Spare Room and The Walker Inn (Los Angeles), Dante and The Nomad Bar (New York City), Lost Lake and The Aviary (Chicago), and Dandelyn and White Lyan (London).
