Indiana Jones fans are in for a treat this year. Not only is the film franchise making a comeback with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (due to be released this month), but fans can also book a visit at the actual castle featured in the movie.

Bamburgh Castle on the Northumberland coast plays a role alongside Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the new film, which follows its heroes as they time-travel to fight some Nazis.

The castle is one of the oldest in the country, harking all the way back to the twelfth century and sits in the village of Bamburgh, which has been named the UK’s finest coastal resort by Which? for three years in a row.

You can opt to stay in the building’s Neville Tower or medieval Clock Tower, which both look out over a stunning panorama of the coast. As far as we know there are no boulders, cannibals or explosives here, so unlike our favourite archaeological action man, you will actually be able to relax.

The former has two bedrooms and one bathroom, and the latter three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both stretch across three floors, have open-plan living areas and fully equipped kitchens alongside exclusive access to the castle grounds outside of public opening hours.

You might not be completely safe from drama, though: rumour has it that the castle is haunted by the ghost of a mysterious lady in pink. Unfazed? You can book your trip via holiday-rental company Crabtree and Crabtree. Find out more about how to stay in Neville Tower here or book a getaway in the Clock Tower here
