Gavin & Stacey was probably the peak of British television. The irresistible love story, the retable, suburban mundanity, the impeccable jokes cracked by Nessa, the omelettes... and the unmissable Christmas specials.

If you just so happen to be looking for a new place to live and also count yourself as a Gavin & Stacey mega-fan, then an opportunity has come up that you’re probably not going to want to miss. A property in South Wales which was used as Uncle Bryn’s house in the filming of the show is now up for rent – and it could be your new home.

The three-bedroom mid-terrace property that featured in the BBC sitcom was home to Rob Brydon’s character, Uncle Bryn, and appeared heavily throughout the show. It also appeared in the 2019 Christmas Day special, ten years after the last episode.

The house is on Trinity Street in Barry’s West End, and is currently being offered unfurnished for a long-term rent of £995 per month. You’ll get the entire three-bed property, plus a small back garden with a patio courtyard area.

The property listing online reads: ‘Unfurnished three-bed terrace formerly used as Uncle Bryn’s house on Gavin & Stacey.

‘Accommodation includes a hall, lounge dining room, kitchen, rear lobby, and ground floor bathroom, WC and shower. The first floor has three bedrooms. Outside there is a forecourt and enclosed rear garden.’

The property being let by Chris Davies estate agents. Find out more here.

ICYMI: Residents in this UK city will soon get free bus travel for their entire birthday month.

Plus: A £10.5 million lido is opening in this underrated English city.
