Brighton Pride is always one of the most highly-anticipated events in the UK’s LGBTQ+ calendar. Each year, the event promises a joyous carnival of colour, campness and community, with an iconic line-up of pop icons to boot.

This year’s event is across Saturday August 3 and Sunday August 4 with the theme of ‘JOY – Celebrating Life, Spirit, Resilience’. Over 300,000 people are expected to join Brighton’s festivities and as ever, the city will host a parade of queer community and campaign groups.

Here’s your guide to what to expect at the parade and who will be headlining this year’s event (spoiler: they are bonafide pop legends).
