How well could you sleep if there was just a pane of glass between you and four fully-grown lions? Well, at West Midlands Safari Park you’ll be able to find out just that. New lodges at the park offer the chance to get really, really up-close-and-personal with its lions. In fact, you’ll be able to watch them from your bed.

WMSP’s new lodges follow the creation of a new habitat called Lion Ridge, which features a range of areas for lions to roam and climb. The lions, just in case you were wondering, are named Havoc, Hodge, Harabi and Hercules.

Each lodge features massive windows purpose-designed to let you watch the lions at all times. More than just nature-watching cabins, however, they’re all also pretty luxurious and boast fires, TVs and space for up to six people. In total, there are four lodges at WMSP – here’s what they look like.

All of which, depending on your point of view, likely looks either really cool or really scary. Rates for the lodges start from £790 per night for a couple, with additional adults costing £175 extra each per night.

Fancy booking yourself a night in one of WMSP’s lion lodges? You’ll find the park in Bewdley, Worcestershire – you can book and read more on the official website here.
