Trains, bikes, scooters, boats, yachts, helicopters and even hot air balloons — if you can get around in it, chances are, somewhere, you can Uber it. And the latest venture for the brand? A seaplane in Scotland.
The guided tour lasts around 35 minutes, taking off the banks of Loch Lomond and soaring past Ben Nevis and over spectacular landamarks like Glencoe Valley, Trossachs National Park and the Glenfinnan Viaduct. All the while, you’ll have the voice of Scottish actor Alan Cummings in your ear, sharing his personal stories and knowledge of the Highlands.
Oh, by the way, it’s all completely free (although passengers are asked to pay a £50 deposit that will be refunded after the flight). The experience is only available for a short number of days, from September 21 to September 23. Find out more info here.
The plane is the second instalment in Uber’s ‘Britannia’ series, which looks to ‘add some magic to quintessential British moments and places’. You can now also book the famous Caledonian Sleeper, which travels from London to Glasgow, via the Uber app.
