Everyone reckons they know which pizzeria makes the best pizza. But you know who definitely, definitely knows where to find the best pizza? 50 Top Pizza, an independent online guide based in Italy which publishes annual guides to the planet’s finest ’zas. The clue’s in the name, after all.
On Tuesday (September 10), 50 Top Pizza unveiled its coveted ‘world ranking’ at a swish award ceremony in Naples – and, excitingly, it featured three British pizza restaurants in its global top 100.
Two of those restaurants are found in London. Napoli on the Road in Chiswick came fifth and 50 Kaló in the West End came 23rd – you can find out more about those two London winners here.
The final pizzeria included in 50 Top Pizza’s list is far from London, however – and in fact picked up an extra award. Stile Napoletano in Chester slipped into the top 100 at number 94, while also picking up the ‘Solania Award’ for ‘best new entry’. Congrats, Stile Napoletano!
Stile Napoletano sits on Chester’s Watergate Street and it’s the second venue from award-winning pizza chef Giacomo Guido. The restaurant opened in 2018 and serves Neapolitan-style pizzas.
