After you’ve experienced a blockbuster movie in a boutique cinema, with posh popcorn, plush seating and a bottle of bubbly on the side, it’s very hard to go back.

And for many cinema-goers, Everyman is the pinnacle of luxury filmhouses. The chain first opened in Hampstead, London but now has sites across the country, from Glasgow to Cheltenham, showing movies ranging from mainstream blockbusters to cult arthouse stuff.

Next month, the cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk will be the latest place to get its own branch of the fancy schmancy cinema chain. Everyman will be coming to the Arc Shopping Centre in BSE’s town centre and bring with it an ‘elevated cinema experience’ complete with velvet sofas, a bar and a food menu featuring hand-stretched pizzas, garlic dough balls, gourmet burgers and baked cookie dough.

For a short time, the chain is offering a ‘Founder Membership’ for the new outlet, which will include free, unlimited popcorn for an entire year. But you’ll have to hurry up – the complimentary snack will only go to the first 500 people who sign up. You can read more about the offer here.
