When you think of a luxury cinema, an Everyman is probably the first thing that comes to mind. The chain of boutique filmhouses spawned from the Everyman Cinema in Hampstead, London (which opened way back in 1931) and now there are 45 branches up and down the country.

And now it’s been revealed where Everyman will next open one of its posh kinos. A swanky five-screen Everyman will be coming to Cambridge and will open in the city’s Grand Arcade Shopping Centre this autumn – just in time to catch some major new blockbusters, including Gladiator II, Joker: Folie À Deux and Wicked

In true Everyman tradition, each screen will be lined with velvet sofas and armchairs for guests to really sink into. Film buffs can also expect a plush bar and lounge area and an extensive food menu serving up stuff like pizza, gourmet burgers, small plates, cookie dough and sundaes.
