When it comes to British theme parks, we’re all aware of the Big Ones. Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures, Blackpool Pleasure Beach – those sorts of places. But according to TripAdvisor reviews, there’s one dark horse among the UK’s thrill-seeking attractions.
Paultons Park in Hampshire has been crowned the best theme park in the UK and is now top of the rankings on TripAdvisor thanks to a tonne of glowing feedback.
Paultons Park is smaller than its better-known peers, with rides geared more towards families and kids than serious adrenaline junkies. It’s most popular attractions include Peppa Pig World for the little ones and the Storm Chaser and Cobra rollercoasters for the big kids.
Visitors praise the cleanliness of the site, the efficiency of it queues, its friendly staff and the great value for money. One visitor recently wrote that ‘all areas are amazingly clean and well kept (to the standard of Disney)’. Someone else said that it was ‘worth every penny’ while another wrote ‘the atmosphere, cleanliness and staff are second to none’.
If you’ve been convinced to make a trip, tickets for Paultons Park during peak season start at £43.99 but kids under one metre get to go in completely free. You can find out more on the official theme park website here.
