This pretty town has been named Britain’s top winter destination

Here’s where to go to beat those January blues

It might be hard to imagine with the grey and gloomy weather the UK is seeing right now, but sometimes, winter in this country can *Keira Knightley voice* look quite pretty. 

Leaves crusted in snowflakes, roofs covered in white and lakes frozen over all make for a picture perfect scene. And there are many towns and villages around the UK that wear winter extremely well. 

The people at radiator company, Stelrad, have revealed their list of the top 50 winter wonderland spots across the UK. Taking the top spot as Britain's prettiest winter destination was the blissful Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate

Not far from Leeds and York, the town is popular for its slower pace, chilled-out vibes and picturesque streets. It’s an ideal spot to nurse the winter blues. 

Elsewhere on the list, Shrewsbury in Shropshire claimed runner up, Dover in Kent bagged third place and Belford in Northumberland landed in fourth.
