This pretty part of the UK has been named one of the world’s top travel destinations

The judges described it as a ‘jaw-droppingly scenic, family-friendly destination’

When it comes to stunning travel destinations, the UK isn’t necessarily the first place that springs to mind. But the four nations that make up this country all have spectacular sights on offer, and they’re being recognised by big travel publications like Lonely Planet and now Rough Guides.

The latter just released its pick of the top travel destinations for 2023 and one of the 23 places selected is Pembrokeshire in Wales.

Lauded for its gorgeous ‘beaches, epic coastal walks, family fun and responsible travel’, Pembrokeshire came in at number 16 on the list. 

The south-western county was deemed by the publication to be a ‘jaw-droppingly scenic, family-friendly destination. A place where natural beauty, ancient history, elite outdoor adventures and fun family attractions await.’

Other parts of the UK that got a shout-out include Leeds in Yorkshire and the Scottish Highlands.
