Think 2024 is a long time away? Think again. Soon it’ll be Christmas, then it’ll be New Year’s Eve... before you know it, you’ll be slap-bang in the middle of a brand-new year.

In other words, right now is a pretty good time to start thinking about next year’s travel plans. So where should we be heading?

From National Geographic to Lonely Planet, plenty of publications (including ourselves) weigh in on where’ll be the best places to explore in 2024. And the latest to do so is luxe travel site Condé Nast Traveller, which has just revealed its list of the top 24 best global destinations for next year.

Excitingly, one UK destination made the cut. That’s right, in the entire world, one British spot is the place to be! The destination in question was Yorkshire.

And it’s easy to see why CNT is championing Yorkshire. The huge county has everything from charming seaside towns like Scarborough to vibrant cities like Leeds. Some of the UK’s most breathtaking landscapes are found in God’s Own Country, including rolling hills, vast lavender fields and thick woodlands.

Other destinations that made Condé Nast Traveller’s list were Budapest, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and French Polynesia – so Yorkshire’s in impressive company! You can check out the full list of 24 on the official website here.

Time Out Yorkshire

Did you see that this town has been named the prettiest in Britain?
