Dedicated pub-goers, listen up. Is your local boozer basically a second home? Ever wished you never had to leave the comfort of its carpeted booths? Well, we’ve got just the thing.

The Westgate in Cardiff was a beloved drinking hole for residents of the Welsh capital for over 80 years (since all the way back in 1932, in fact). While its pint serving days finished in 2016, now the property has been restored and granted change of use. It’s now ready to become a family home and could be all yours for just £800,000.

The Grade II-listed, red brick building now has eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a domestic kitchen, gym and private roof terrace. All its original pub features are still there, too, with a commercial kitchen, games room and two bar areas.

The former beer cellar has been converted to a huge storage area but could be used for a bunch of other things. Home cinema, anyone? Here are a few pics of the place.

If you’re a Cardiff native or just drive through the city from time to time, you’ll probably recognise the pub’s curving exterior overlooking the crossroads of Lower Cathedral Road and Cowbridge Road East. The sale is being managed by Allen & Harris estate agents and you can find out more about the property on the official listing here.
