Wondering which UK destination will be the next big thing? Well, look no further than TripAdvisor’s Seasonal Travel Index, which has just revealed the country’s fastest-growing destinations for 2023.
By ‘fastest-growing’, we’re talking about the destinations that’ve seen the biggest year-on-year increase in interest. TripAdvisor’s data is based on its user stats, as well as the results of a survey of more than 2,000 British travellers.
The fastest-growing destination so far in 2023 is apparently Gosforth in Cumbria. A small village in the heart of the Lake District, Gosforth is known for being exceptionally close to Blengdale Forest and a load of great hiking routes.
Next up in TripAdvisor’s list is Ingoldmells, a coastal town near the classic resort spot of Skegness in Lincolnshire, and third is Borrowdale, a valley in the Lake District.
