Sure, you might not get much sun or warmth, but winter holidays in the UK can be as good as at any other time of year. Crunchy frost underfoot, crisp breeze in the air and festive vibes all-round... what’s not to like? And Brits are booking up plenty of getaways this winter, from city breaks filled with seasonal cheer to seaside escapes ripe for brisk coastal walks.
To find out the trendiest domestic destinations for Brits this winter, holiday rental platform Airbnb has dug into its database and examined all its UK bookings from November 1 to December 31. The platform then revealed ten places that have seen the most number of searches and check-ins.
As always, a huge range of destinations are proving popular for winter 2023. Interestingly, however, lots of places up north are seeing the most interest: Bamburgh in Northumberland, Pitlochry in Perthshire and Fort Augustus in the Scottish Highlands all made the list.
But we aren’t just heading north for the winter. There are plenty of other, non-northern destinations in Airbnb’s list. The likes of Brighton, Bath, London and Ascot all also feature.
Here is the full list of the trendiest UK destinations to visit this winter, according to Airbnb.
