Yep, you read that headline right. The most immersive experience. Ever. In the world. The experience where you are more immersed than any other. You will actually be floored by how much they immerse you in this experience. Quite the claim, eh?

Otherworld, which originally opened in London, is a VR-based attraction which claims to ‘[take] people from city centre locations to the furthest reaches of the metaverse’. That’s a very fancy way of saying you stand inside a pod and put on a headset, which then makes you feel like you are on a magical island, or wildlife spotting with David Attenborough.

One might say ‘wouldn’t the most ‘immersive experience’ with David Attenborough be, you know, actually watching wildlife with him?’ And to that we say – we’ve all exaggerated on a CV. Once you get past the fact that marketing may be inflating the grandeur slightly, Otherworld is likely still a really good time.

And if you love an all-guns-blazing immersive VR experience, well, we have good news. Otherworld is set to expand to more cities throughout the UK, with Manchester and Edinburgh about to join in on the fun. The chain currently has three locations open, with two in London and one in Birmingham.

We don’t yet know exactly when Otherworld will open in Manchester or Edinburgh, so watch this space for updates. If you’d like to visit one of the already-open outposts, you can find out more and book on the official website here

So go forth and immerse yourselves! It’s not dystopian if you don’t let it be.
