Belmond knows a thing or two about luxury. It’s been running the uber posh Royal Scotsman sleeper train since 2005 and last year unveiled the mega opulent Britannic Explorer. Besides Michelin star chefs, marble bathrooms and personal butlers, one of the most ridiculously fancy things you’ll find aboard Belmond’s trains is the Royal Scotsman’s Dior spa

The spa was added to the Scotsman in 2023 and now, Belmond and Dior have linked up to offer an entire wellness retreat, complete with pilates sessions, nourishing food and explorations through the Scottish Highlands

The dreamy trip will be hosted by Dior’s ‘wellness experts’.Onboard, they’ll help passengers reach ultimate zen through wholesome afternoon teas, breathwork sessions and ‘mindful movement’. Of course, guests will also get to enjoy luxury treatment in the Dior Spa carriage, too.

Off board, there’ll be opportunities for wild swims, forest bathing, private hikes, outdoor yoga and seal-spotting boat rides. Don’t you just feel relaxed at the mere thought of all that?

Nicola Herbert, the global director of wellness and guest experience at Belmond, said: ‘This retreat marks a new chapter in our commitment to redefining luxury rail travel. By integrating wellness experiences throughout our journeys, we’re offering an enriching experience that fosters a deeper connection with nature, culture, and well-being, all while embracing the philosophy of slow travel.’

Now, we hate to say it, but all that bliss doesn’t come cheap. Prices for the three night retreat start at an eye-watering £14,000 per passenger. That includes all the activities, excursions, meals and beverages.
