If you’re a fan of bougie hotels, you probably will have heard of The Hoxton. The trendy hotel chain with outposts in London, Berlin, LA and New York is known for its highly Instagrammable retro interiors, and its open-house lobbies that are typically filled with fashionable creative types tapping away on their laptops.
Now the Hoxton is expanding to Scotland and opening up a hotel in Edinburgh this June. The Hox will open in Haymarket on June 23, with 214 rooms and three self-contained homes to open later in the summer.
This ain’t no tiny B&B. The hipster hangout will take over 11 stitched-together townhouses set across both sides of Grosvenor street, with original Georgian features highlighted in the interior décor. The room interiors will be in keeping with the other Hoxton hotels, with eclectic and vintage vibes. Brand new for the Hox will be the three self-contained houses, which will each have three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

As well as the more than 200 rooms – which will come in nine categories, ranging from snug singles to massive suites – the Hox will have a cinema, ballroom events space and a brand-new Italian restaurant called Patatino. The trattoria-inspired eatery promises to serve up hearty Italian classics using Scottish produce in a ‘laid back romantic atmosphere’.
Rooms at The Hox are available for booking online now.
