Is there anything more British than a good ol’ pub? Sitting by the fire in winter or under a canopy in a beer garden in the summer, packet of crisps in one hand and pint in the other. Maybe some live music, maybe some football on the telly; either way, you know you’re going to have a good time.

At Time Out, we know pubs. We’ve got lists of our favourite in the country, from Glasgow’s famous Laurieston all the way down to the Basketmakers in Brighton, and we’ve got round ups of the very best drinking holes in all of the country’s biggest cities from Birmingham to Bristol, London to Leeds. Although we believe our picks are the definitive pub rankings in the UK, it’s always good to get a second opinion.

That’s where the Telegraph comes in. The newspaper has curated a list of the best pubs in every single county in England, so that you can get to a brilliant boozer no matter where you live (unless you live in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland. Sorry.)

You can have a look at the Telegraph’s list, including what they had to say about each pub, on the newspaper’s website here. In the meantime, here are the picks at a glance.
