Last week the Complete University Guide revealed its ranking of what it says are the UK’s finest universities right now. The table was topped by unsurprising names: Cambridge triumphed overall, followed by Oxford and London’s LSE.
Which is all well and good. But different unis suit different subjects. What about medicine, which is one of the most popular university courses in the country (according to the Complete University Guide themselves, anyway)?
The guide’s medicine ranking takes into account both ‘pre-clinical’ and ‘clinical’ medicine courses. It judges universities based on a huge range of categories including ‘entry standards’, ‘student satisfaction’, ‘research quality’ and ‘graduate prospects’.
Fair warning, the top of the Complete University Guide’s medicine ranking isn’t too different from its overall one. Cambridge again came first with an overall score of 100 percent, followed by Oxford, with 99 percent.
Third was UCL (University College London), also with 99 percent, while Imperial College London and the University of Edinburgh similarly received a score of 99 percent. Here are the top 10 universities in the UK, according to the Complete University Guide.
