Sam Fender fans, this is the news you’ve been waiting for. Today (October 18) the star has announced a huge number of tour dates for later this year – including several in the UK. The singer and songwriter best known for hits like ‘Seventeen Going Under’, ‘Hypersonic Missiles’ and ‘Will We Talk?’ has been teasing a tour for days with billboards at major UK arenas – and now it’s finally been officially announced.

The People Watching tour will be Fender’s first UK jaunt since 2022 (though he played Reading and Leeds in 2023), and it’ll see him play massive arena shows in cities like London, Manchester, Birmingham and, of course, his beloved Newcastle. He’ll then jet off to Europe for gigs in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and more.

Better yet, Fender is following Coldplay’s lead and using this tour to support the UK’s independent venues. Apparently £1 from each ticket sold will go to the Music Venues Trust and support grassroots music venues.

Keen to catch Fender live on the People Watching tour? Here’s everything you need to know about getting tickets.

Sam Fender tour dates in 2024

All of Fender’s UK dates on this tour take place in December. Here’s what’s been confirmed so far:

When do tickets go on sale?

General sale for all shows is next Friday (October 25) at 10am. You’ll be able to get tickets on Ticketmaster here.

There’s a slight difference for Fender’s gig at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena. Demand is expected to be through the roof, so these tickets will only be available by ballot to those with a northeast postcode. You can apply for that ballot here

Presale

There are a few presales taking place. For the artist presale, you’ll need to preorder Fender’s new album before 5pm on Monday October 21. Do that, and you’ll get a special presale at 10am on Tuesday October 22.

Another presale will take place for individual venues at 10am on Wednesday October 23. Co-op members, for example, will get early access in Manchester. Check your venue website for more details.

Ticket prices

Exact ticket prices haven’t yet been confirmed, but they’ll likely range from around £54 to £88. That’s the price range given by the official website of Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.
