If you happen to be a keen globetrotter living in Cornwall (or a globetrotter wanting to get to Cornwall) we’ve got exciting news coming your way. Budget airline Ryanair has announced new routes between Cornwall Airport Newquay and Malaga (Spain), Faro (Portugal) and Dublin.

These will launch in January and February 2024 as part of Ryanair’s biggest ever winter schedule for the region, with 350 percent more weekly flights than last winter. Apparently the new routes will support 120 more jobs in the area.

There will also be twice-weekly routes to London Stansted relaunching this week. But while flying may cut a few hours off journey times to the south-west, travelling by train or even by car remains the much more environmentally-friendly alternative.

Travellers can already fly from Newquay to Edinburgh or Alicante (Spain) with Ryanair, and it tends to add more routes in the summer.

You can check out dates and prices for the new routes on the Ryanair website here.

And Cornwall isn't the only destination which is seeing an expanded Ryanair schedule. Recently on Time Out we covered that the budget airline also announced that we will get new flights from Norwich Airport in spring 2024, while back in September we wrote about seven new super-cheap routes being launched from London.
